GUIDELINES FOR INVOLVEMENT

 

With so much need in the world, how should the United States government decide who should receive aid and how much they should be given?

 

  • The famine has multiple causes, such as drought and political corruption.
  • The famine is widespread and is affecting people from all walks of life.
  • The majority of the people of the country or area have been without sufficient food for at least six months.
  • National and local governments are open to having American aid.
  • The national and local governments are working on procedures and structures to help them avoid future food shortages.
